ACRYFLOW A90 is a hard (Tg ~ 55 C) acrylic polyol with low isocyanate and solvent demand. Supplied as a solid or in n-butyl acetate solution, it improves the hardness, dry time, abrasion resistance and weatherability of 2K urethane coatings and baking enamels. Low cost, low
VOC (<2.8lbs/gallon or < 335 grams/liter) coatings with superior gloss and color retention are readily obtained by blending ACRYFLOW A90 with ACRYFLOW P90 polyols even without exempt solvents.
ACRYFLOW polyols are prepared in a proprietary process using hydroxy-functional allylic monomers. Unlike conventional acrylics, ACRYFLOW polyols maintain their functionality at a low molecular weight. Coating formulators no longer have to trade performance for lower VOCs. Less isocyanate crosslinker is needed to cure coatings while chemical and abrasion resistance, pot life, through cure and appearance are improved.
It is used in industrial maintenance and marine (blended with ACRYFLOW P90 or P120), floor coatings (blended with ACRYFLOW M100), refinish clearcoats (blended with ACRYFLOW M100 or P120), powder coatings.
It offers superior weatherability, very good hardness and abrasion resistance, long pot life yet faster, through cure, low solvent and isocyanate demand.
