Ethacryl P dispersants are high performance aqueous pigment dispersants developed to facilitate efficient milling of pigments to submicron size for improved color development and gloss, while providing pigment dispersions with low viscosity and high pigment solids. Lyondell’s Ethacryl P dispersant technology is ideally suited for formulating a wide variety of aqueous pigment dispersions for coatings, printing inks and inkjet inks.
Ethacryl dispersants are water-soluble, polycarboxylate copolymers that contain unique polyalkylene oxide polymer “teeth” that give them
a “comb-branched” structure. These dispersants form a powerful bond to the surface of the pigment and stabilize the dispersion through both
steric and electrostatic forces to ensure high stability.
