It is a more economical alternative to the conventional C-9 hydrocarbon resin. With respect to ink systems, LX-2600 functions as a co-resin in gel vehicles or as the primary resin in flushing and grinding vehicles. LX-2600 solutions are most widely used as let-down vehicles in black and color news inks. In coatings, LX-2600 can replace significant portions of a medium or long oil alkyd in high solids primers and architectural or industrial maintenance coatings. Printing Ink: · More economical than conventional C-9 hydrocarbons. · Excellent co-resin in let-down gel varnishes: - Controls water-pickup - Contributes to overall system compatibility and gloss. · LX-2600 solutions in soya oil or hydrotreated naphthenic distillates perfrom well as flushing or let-down vehicles for color news ink applications · Good Pigment wetting and stabilization Coatings: · Lowers VOCs when used at the 15 - 30% level in high solids alkyd systems · Promotes better adhesion, water and corrosion resistance and gloss Coatings Aluminium Coatings : Can & Drum Coatings : Industrial & Architectura Coatings : Marine Coatings : Traffic Lithographic Inks : Heatset & Sheetfed Let Down Vehicles Lithographic Inks : News Ink Lithographic Inks : Wax Compounds Inert aromatic thermoplastic hydrocarbon resin. Lowers VOCs in high solids alkyd systems. Provides very good adhesion, water and corrosion resistance and gloss. <br> Applications: aluminium, can and drum, industrial and architectural, marine and traffic coatings and lithographic inks (heatset and sheetfed let down vehicles, nex inks and wax compounds).
