These polyester polyols are the primary raw material components used to formulate a variety of polyurethanes. Based on unique ortho-ester linkages, they have proven their ability to enhance performance and reduce your formulation costs. Tests have shown that they:

STEPANPOL polyester polyols can be used in coatings formulations. These polyols are low Tg and amorphous (or non crystalline) in their morphology. Due to their ortho structure, they improve hydrolytic stability, tensile strength, and modulus. Some potential elastomers include:
synthesis of urethane prepolymers
synthesis of water borne polyurethane dispersions
synthesis of radiation curable oligomers
formulation of two component urethane coatings
formulation with amino type resins in high solids coatings
polyol cross linker in radiation curable, cationic cure formulations
reactive diluents to increase the solids content of solvent based coatings
epoxy flexibilizers for both coating and molding/potting applications
as modifying resins to reduce the cost of acrylic, alkyd, epoxy, and polyester formulations
STEPANPOLPN-110 is a neopentyl glycol-phthalate anhydride-based polyester polyol.
STEPANPOL PN-110 can be used in urethane adhesives and coating applications. It is useful in
formulating urethane prepolymers and elastomers.
Excellent hydrolysis resistance, very good thermal stability, and primary hydroxyl advantage.
Steep viscosity/temperature curve. Good hardness/flexibility balance.
Neopentyl glycol-phthalate anhydride-based polyester polyol. Used in formulating urethane coatings. Possesses low Tg and amorphous (or non crystalline) morphology. Exhibits very good hydrolysis resistance, thermal stability and primary hydroxyl advantage. Offers steep viscosity/temperature curve and good hardness/flexibility balance.
