Solvent-borne systems based upon aliphatic and aromatic solvents such as mineral spirits or xylene require the use of rheology modifiers with low polarity functionality. Typical Kauri-Butanol (KB) value of these systems is 25 to 65. Examples include alkyds, bituminous systems, traffic paints and underbody coatings.

Rheotix® 240 Castor oil based powdered thixotrope designed for aliphatic and aromatic (medium polarity) systems. Imparts ideal balance of sag control and flow. Requires shear and processing temperature range.
Castor oil based powdered thixotrope. Used as a rheology modifier for non-aqueous paints and coatings such as alkyds, bituminous systems, traffic paints and underbody coatings. Designed for aliphatic (low polarity) and aromatic (medium polarity) systems. Offers very good balance of sag control and flow. Requires shear and processing temperature range.
