Tixogel® EZ100 is quaternary ammonium bentonite complex.
TIXOGEL EZ 100 is designed as an easy-to-disperse, self-activating rheological additive for low and medium polarity solvent based coating systems.
TIXOGEL EZ 100 is not effective in binderless products, such as lubricating grease. TIXOGEL EZ 100 is effective in rust preventatives based on salts of oxidized petrolatum when used as directed. TIXOGEL EZ 100 can be added to the pigment grind or added to finished product to adjust viscosity. TIXOGEL EZ 100 needs no polar activator.
TIXOGEL EZ 100 is designed as an easy-to-disperse, self-activating rheological additive for low and medium polarity solvent based coating systems. TIXOGEL EZ 100 prevents sagging and settling in resin based systems.
Suitable solvents are Rule 66 Mineral Spirits, VM&P Naphtha, Hi-Flash Naphtha, Xylene, and Toluene. Mixtures of aliphatic and aromatic solvents are also suitable for TIXOGEL EZ 100 use.
Alkyds, processed oils, epoxy-esters, and oil modified urethanes are all suitable for TIXOGEL EZ 100.
TIXOGEL EZ 100 is not recommended for oxygenated solvent systems or 100% raw oil systems, such as stains.
