Tixogel® TE is quaternary ammonium smectite.
It is a multi-purpose organoclay rheological additive.
Tixogel® TE may be used in all low to medium polarity solvent systems generally thought to require a Hectorite based Organoclay. Tixogel® TE is especially well suited for the small to medium paint manufacturer with a broad line of coatings' formulations. Tixogel® TE disperses much more easily than competitive Hectorite based Organoclays.
It is used in 100% aliphatic to 100% aromatic systems. Automotive and equipment undercoats, trade sales alkyds, traffic paints, stains, industrial alkyds, acrylics, chlorinated rubber, epoxy esters, and aluminum coatings.
The suitable solvents are Rule 66 mineral spirits, VM&P naphtha, aromatic naphthas, toluene, xylene, kerosene, 140 solvent, heptane.
Quaternary Ammonium compound of Bentonite. Used in automotive and equipment undercoats, trade sales alkyds, traffic paints, stains, industrial alkyds, acrylics, chlorinated rubber, epoxy esters, and aluminum coatings.
